Genealogy Software Springboard
Created in 1996 in order to help our fellow rooters & genealogists review genealogy programs, and what was once a one page listing of all major programs has now grown into hundreds of listings.
Since 1996, thousands of online genealogists have visited this site and gained information and knowledge to help them determine which genealogy program is the best to serve their needs.
It was mentioned in The Courier-Journal on Sept. 7, 1998 in the article, Family Ties: Tools of technology make it easier, fun to dig up your roots.
"The Genealogy Software Springboard offers discussion of many programs, with pros and cons submitted by users."
And in the Heritage Quest Magazine Column Lineage Links: "Karen Basile created this terrific site to help researchers determine which genealogy software program is best for them to use. All of the major software programs are listed here with complete details and a list of pros and cons submitted by actual software users." - Cyndi Howells
And in Everton's Genealogical Helper Volume 2, Number 11 in June 1996: "The Genealogy Software Springboard is one of several sites on the Internet with links to genealogy software outlets. And this one comes with a difference: Reviews.
The Springboard features a summary of the good and bad points of popular database programs for genealogists."
This site has moved. The new site is Genealogy Software Springboard
