Recreational Respite

Structured recreational activities revitalize persons with autism, and respite care revitalizes their care-givers. At Bittersweet Farms, we offer innovative programs that address these needs both separately and together.

Our services include

• group and individual recreation (e.g., movies, dinner, sports, Special Olympics, horsemanship)
• adaptive vacation planning and support for individual, group or family trips or vacations
• augmented pursuit of hobbies such as weaving, horticultural crafts, gardening and woodwork
• support for spiritual and religious activities
• traditional residential and at-home respite care
• assessment and recommendations for leisure skills, and guidance for those who will be living away from family or primary care-givers
