Named after Spector's first wife and his sister respectively, the Annette and Shirley labels are rarely seen today. There were 3 Annette singles, the initial release being Cher's first solo recording (as Bonnie Jo Mason) and one Shirley single, promo only, highly prized by Spector-philes and Beatles collectors alike, as the song is a Lennon-McCartney tune.

Another short-lived Spector-owned label, Phil Spector Records was basically a vehicle for featuring Ronnie Bennett ("Veronica"). As with Annette and Shirley, this off-shoot label's releases never really got much past the test-marketing stage, although larger quantities were pressed, especially of the second release. Both are in high demand today by fans of Spector and the Ronettes.

Although the promo issues seem to have had different designs, the stock copies of both releases were black/silver "banner" labels (similar to that of "So Young" shown above).

And then, there's the odd pressing of the second release...The title was changed from "Why Don't..." to "Why Can't...", the songwriters' names were misspelled, and the B-side is titled "Cubby Danny D." instead of "Chubby Danny D."...Why this was done is anybody's guess, but this is a legit pressing and is worth much more than the "normal" release.

Although none of the 8 releases were produced by Spector, the Phi-Dan label (named for Phil and Danny Davis) has maintained much interest for Spector Collectors over the years, and is most-fondly remembered for "Home of the Brave" by Bonnie and the Treasures. There were five label variations..

And then, there is this Phi-Dan label...

In the mid-70s, Spector signed a deal with Warner Brothers and the Warner-Spector label was created. The label featured several new Spector-produced releases and some old classics along with non-Spector material. By the end of the decade, though, the label was gone.
