Over the years, several variations of the withdrawn Philles 123 stock copy label have surfaced. Although not documented by Fitzpatrick/Fogerty, we have categorized them (so far) as follows: 1) thin-line with thin artist/title lettering, 2) thin-line with thick artist/title lettering, 3) thick-line. It can be speculated that #2 is an East-coast pressing, #3 is a West-coast pressing, and #1 is a later re-issue. There may be other variations yet to be documented. Unless proof comes forward as to the illegitimacy of any of these variations, they must all be considered legitimate and very collectible. Your comments would be welcomed on this subject.
