Spector's first post-Philles endeavor was in 1969 with Herb Alpert's A&M label. Although it resulted in only one hit (and a big hit it was..."Black Pearl"), it also produced a "Ronettes" single (although Ronnie was the only one singing on it), several re-issues of failed Ike & Tina Philles singles, and the unreleased Philles album "River Deep - Mountain High" (in stereo).
