Some may think that Phil Spector produced
all of the A-sides that were released on Philles...Not so!!! In fact, some early
Philles releases were, for the most part, productions of partner Lester
Sill. These all flopped, which infuriated Spector, and contributed to the eventual break-up of the partnership.
Later non-Spector releases were the result of a lack of interest,
especially after the failure of Philles 131.
