This website features images of labels connected to Phil Spector (including some rare, seldom-seen labels and covers) - it's kind of an "illustrative supplement" to the book
"Collecting Phil Spector: The Man, The Legend, and The Music" by John Fitzpatrick and James Fogerty* (pictured at left) which is out-of-print.

We have expanded the scope of this website with a more-extensive display of non-label items, mainly picture sleeves and LP covers...We now have over 180 scans available for your viewing pleasure...Enjoy!!!

In "Written, but not produced by" a few more Spector-penned tunes from Joey Paige, Ray Sharpe, The Supremes & Four Tops, and the Dolly-Emmylou-Linda song are displayed. We've also broken the link down to two pages for faster loading.

Several changes in "The Apple releases" including the extremely-rare John Lennon "Mother" picture sleeve and a not-too-well-known fact about one of Lennon's Spector-produced records (which we never saw).

An expanded look at Philles label differences in "Philles label variations"

And, another interesting bit of trivia in "Philles mysteries" - this time, about Spector's television career.

(Have you found the "secret link" yet?)

Some other Spector-related books (click on a title to see the book cover):

*The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby - Tom Wolfe (1965) - A small section on "The First Tycoon of Teen" as Spector was called then. Interesting reading.
*The Rolling Stone Interviews - 1969 Spector interview by Jann Wenner
*Out of His Head: The Sound of Phil Spector - Richard Williams (1972) - With a 1972-74 "postlude" added in later printings- Discography is a joke, but this was the first book devoted solely to Phil Spector and worth a read.
*The Phil Spector Story - Rob Finnis (1975) - A classic Spector bio. Good discography and alot of interesting pictures. Hard-to-find UK printing...Find it!
*He's A Rebel - Mark Ribowsky (1989) - Most complete bio so far; compelling reading, though filled with erroneous information in a few spots; most up-to-date discography. Spector sued Ribowsky over this book!!! Wanna learn about Phil Spector? This is the one to read. But, don't believe everything!!
*Be My Baby - Ronnie Spector with Vince Waldron (1990) - Ronnie tells all!!! This one and the above Spector bio are hated by Phil, but Ronnie gives her own story on things here and it's juicy reading. Nice "Ronnie discography" and a whole bunch of neat pictures.
*My Name is Darlene: The Darlene Love Story - Darlene Love with Rob Hoerburger (1998) - Somewhat of a "tell-all" on Phil, but DL is not as vicious as others have been. The greatest female R&R singer of all-time recounts her life, the years working under Spector's thumb, her love affair with Bill Medley, and much more. Great Darlene discography going back to 1957.
